First HTC WiMAX handset announced!

Here is HTC's first ever WiMAX handset-HTC Max 4G. With close resemblance to the Touch HD, this phone comes with WiMAX also known as IEEE 802.16e. Max 4G has a 3.8 inch WVGA display, 8GB internal memory, GPS. Unlike Touch HD it doesn't feature a 3.5mm audio jack.The phone also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional runs on a 528MHz processor with a 288 built in RAM.

The network is not adapted in many countries as it is in its early stages. This phone is aimed at Russian markets through Yota, as Russia is one country that is adopting this standard.
