14 New members join Open Handset Alliance

Open Handset Alliance yesterday announced membership of 14 additional companies. The Android will be the platform to watch in coming days many major carriers and vendors joined the Alliance.
The members of the Alliance will either make Android compatible devices, contibute to the Open Source Project or just support the product and services. As they believe this will accelerate the availability of Android-based devices.

After OS and Browsers the Open Source trend is now in the handets! Find who make the 14: AKM Semiconductor Inc., ARM, ASUSTek Computer Inc., Atheros Communications, Borqs, Ericsson, Garmin International Inc., Huawei Technologies, Omron Software Co.
